Give Us This Day
Jess Colton lives with his addictive nature he thought he'd left behind when he asked Jesus into his life. He gave up alcohol but replaced it with a more acceptable habit - overeating. Though his weight soars past 300 pounds, he’s baffled when the beautiful Holly Harrison falls in love with him.

Holly Harrison can't forget the consequences of her past before she gave her life to the Lord. What Christian man would want a woman who lost her leg under her knee and unborn baby all in the same night? She's mastered her prosthesis and no one knows, not even Jess. She doesn’t plan on falling in love with him yet she sees past his bulk to the godly man he is inside. When Jess drives a wedge between them, Holly loses hope of a future with him.

Will Jess allow God to restore a food addict to good health? Can Holly learn to forgive herself opening the door for an unlikely romance?

Holly reached down and untied the shoe string of her left tennis shoe. Could she really do this?
"What are you doing?" His questioning look accelerated the nervous pangs in her stomach.
She lifted a restraining hand and continued her work. With an unsteady grip, she pulled her sock off exposing the curved metal of her prosthetic limb.
Jess stared, his eyes the size of large plates. "Oh, good Lord, Holly. What happened?"
Holly folded her jeans up to her knee exposing the entire device. She released the suction holding the hollow plastic casing over her knee stump and removed the entire leg, setting it next to the couch. Her heart thundered as she dared a glance at Jess.
He sat motionless, his eyes wide open. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"At first I thought you'd reject me if you knew. Now do you see? You're not the only one with a flawed body." Holly leaned back against the couch, her stub barely meeting the end of the seat. Her palms were like ice. She took the risk and showed him. No turning back now. He'd always know.
Jess's voice was barely a whisper. "You haven't told many people."
"No. Only my family and Dr. Murphy know. Zack, too. I was riding on the back of his motorcycle when the accident happened."
"Holly, I don't know what to say." He gazed at her with woeful blue eyes.
She wiped away another stream of endless tears. "After I came to know you, I figured you'd love me in spite of it. That's the kind of man you are. I didn't know how to tell you until now."
Jess eased off the couch and slowly knelt in front of her. He folded her jeans a little higher, gazed at her with eyes of love and compassion, then bent down. She gasped.
He lowered his lips to the stub and kissed it, then gazed up at her again.
"I can't believe you did that. I love you for it."
Jess blinked, a grimace painted on his face. With a groan, Jess moved back onto the couch. He slid his arms around her. "You're right. It would've made no difference in how I feel about you, but now this makes things even more difficult."

I don't think any author has come right out and addressed obesity. As I am on the path to victory myself, I'd like to read this book. I am looking forward to the next interview to find out what motivated the author to write this book. djragno (at) hotmail (dot) com

I'm hopping on not for the giveaway (I have the book and am loving it) but to tell you all how gifted June's writing is. Not only does she write well, she tackles issues we don't read enough about.

June was part of a critique group I'm in and I had the honor of critiquing part of her series. I can't say enough about how everyone needs to put June Foster and her books on your radar.

Mrs. Foster's book looks like it deals with some "touchy" issues, some that we as Christians need to address. I would like to win/read/review her book Give Us This Day.
