Please Welcome Margaret Daley

Margaret Daley, an award-winning author of eighty-two books, has been married for over forty years and is a firm believer in romance and love. When she isn’t traveling, she’s writing love stories, often with a suspense thread and corralling her three cats that think they rule her household. To find out more about Margaret visit her website.

Thanks for being here today.
What is the last book you read and wished it wouldn’t end? Ginny Aiken's book that will out in August 2013 called For a Time Such as This: A Woman of Hope Novel, Book 1

What are the best words of advice you’ve been given? Who said them?
To be true to yourself--my mother.

What do you do on an a typical Tuesday? What I do most Tuesdays is write.

What themes appear in your writing?
Two themes that I often write about is trusting in the Lord and forgiving others.

What is your favorite hymn or praise song?

Amazing Grace. I love the words and the meaning behind why it was written.

What do you like best about writing?
Making up stories. I've been doing it my whole life. I had to learn to be a writer, but I've always had a vivid imagination and would make up stories using my dolls as a little girl.

Picture this: You have a deadline, a book to read, a review to write, a church activity and 3 important calls to make on the same day. What do you have for dinner?
Something fattening and delicious.
Pecan pie comes to mind with vanilla ice cream on top.

That's sounds really good.

When a teenager goes missing from the Beacon of Hope School, Texas Ranger Wyatt Sheridan and school director Kate Winslow are forced into a dangerous struggle against a human trafficking organization. But the battle brings dire consequences as Wyatt's daughter is terrorized and Kate is kidnapped.

Now it's personal, and Wyatt finds both his faith and investigative skills challenged as he fights to discover the mastermind behind the ring before evil destroys everyone he loves.

This sounds really great! I'm a Texas girl who has just become disturbingly aware of the domestic problem of human traficking that is crippling our nation. Thanks for writing about this crucial subject!

Human trafficking is not an easy subject to tackle. I am interested in seeing how the author develops this story.

I would love to win a copy of Saving Hope. I just learned less than a year ago that human trafficking is real in this country. This is such a disturbing thing. I am interested into seeing how Margaret handles this in her book. I have read a couple other books regarding human trafficking and it is really a heart breaking thing. Writers can make this a powerful topic.

Blessings!

I've heard that at the time of the Super Bowl during the game that is the worst time for human trafficking and the police are trying to help the girls instead of arresting them in years past.

I recently watched a video about the slave business going on in my city (Houston). It broke my heart!

Margatet Daley had a great impact on my writing. One of her books was the first Christian fiction book I read. I joined ADFW and then changed my finished manuscript to Christiana fiction.
