with Margaret Daley

Welcome back to the Barn Door Book Loft, Margaret!
People talk about life before children—what was your life before writing?

I got to read all the time. Now my time is limited when it comes to reading for pleasure. I often have to read for research purposes. I also had more free time. I don't have a lot of that now.

What book have you recently enjoyed reading?
Long Trail Home by Vickie McDonough, a historical romance. She has such a gift with action and her character development.

If you were a dessert, what would you be?
Ice cream--double dip cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone--I love this and the recipe is simple. Just make sure you get a good type of ice cream (creamy and rich).

Tell us about one of your favorite memories or moments in your life.
When I met my husband was the best day of my life. He is my soul mate, my best friend. We met at college purely by accident when I was a freshman and he was a junior. I was supposed to go out with someone else, but there was a mix up and I ended going out with my husband.

What's one of your dreaded things to do?
Cleaning the house--I do it and it has to be done again and again.

What is the Lord teaching you, or recently taught you?
That I don't control my life--that I need to give control over to him.

When is your next book due out and can you tell us about it?
His Holiday Family is out this December. It is a Love Inspired--the first in A Town Called Hope Series about a town that recovers from a hurricane and the trials it has to go through.

You can purchase His Holiday Family from Amazon.

Margaret is giving away a copy of His Holiday Family. To be entered in the book giveaway, leave a comment. You can enter the book giveaway twice--once on each spotlight post.

Marybelle, you need to read the book called "The House that Cleans Itself"! Really, there is such a book, written by Mindy Starns Clark. Margaret, your next book sounds interesting. But I want to read "His Holiday Family" first.

Margaret Daley is such a fun person - I'm positive I'd love to read this book! I'm wondering though, if she's ever written her mix-up date into one of her novels? If so, which one because I want to read it!
Thank you for the fun!

Thanks Esther and Margaret for the great post and giveaway. The House That cleans itself? Are you joking? Need to find that one, too. Please enter me in the draw.

Thanks for stopping by. I think "The House That Cleans Itself" went to the top of my wish list. Now if only I could find a book that called "The Book That Writes Itself." I hope each one of you have a great and safe Christmas.
