with Lena Nelson Dooley

Welcome back to the Barn Door Book Loft, Lena!
What kind of books do you enjoy reading?

My reading tastes are across the board— some historical, some contemporary, Christian suspense—especially Brandilyn Collins, Richard Mabry, Candace Calvert, Ronie Kendig, Robin Caroll-- Young Adult – The River of Time Series

Are there things you put off doing because you dread them?
I really hate doing dishes. Praise the Lord, my husband likes to do them.

What's your favorite meal with family and friends?
Anything someone else cooks.

Share a verse or Scripture passage with us that is special to you.
Philippians 3:10 “That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.” KJV

I really, really, really want to know Him in His fullness, but the only way I can truly know Him is when I die to self and let Him lift me to the life He wants me to live here on earth.

When is your next book due out and can you tell us about it?
Book 2 in the McKenna’s Daughters series, Mary’s Blessing, releases May 2012. It’s the story of the second identical triplet.

You can purchase Maggie's Journey from Amazon.

Lena is giving away a copy of Maggie's Journey. To be entered in the book giveaway, leave a comment. You can enter the book giveaway twice--once on each spotlight post.

Wow, what a broad spectrum of book authors --I just read the first "River of Time series and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it since I don't usually read time-travel books.

Thanks for the chance to win --this sounds like a great book!

I've been reading Lena's blog for awhile so it's nice to read something about her (she usually is the one interviewing others) and her new book. I would enjoy winning and reading "Maggie's Journey."

I realize I'm in the minority here, but I have yet to read a book by Lena. (I know. I'm such a slacker...) thank you for the opportunity to win her book. Even if I don't win, I'm going to pick one up to add to my library. :)
