with Margaret Daley

Welcome to the Barn Door Book Loft, Margaret!
People talk about life before children—what was your life before writing?

I can hardly remember life before writing since I’ve been writing over thirty years--half my life. I do know I had less to do. Once I started writing, I worked two jobs besides being a wife and mother.

What book have you recently enjoyed reading?
Love Finds You in Tombstone, AZ by Miralee Ferrell--wonderful story and great characters.

If you were a dessert, what would you be?
Mine is easy--a hot caramel sundae--vanilla ice cream, hot caramel syrup and nuts on top with whipped cream. Simple but delicious to me.

If you were to find a purple polka-dotted monster in your kitchen one morning, how would you respond?
Go screaming out my front door or stop and try to interview him--what motivated him to come to my house, what is it like to be a purple polka-dotted monster, what is his goal, is there anyone trying to stop him.

Tell us about one of your favorite memories or moments in your life.
Getting married to my husband. Part of it is like a dream, but I do know because of that day I have been fortunate to be married to a good man for forty years.

What's one of your dreaded things to do?
Writing a speech and then giving it.

What is the Lord teaching you, or recently taught you?
To give Him control--hard for me. I’m still learning that.

When is your next book due out and can you tell us about it?
His Holiday Family is the first in A Town Called Hope series for Love Inspired. It will be out in December 2011.

Great interview, Margaret. Congratulations on being married to your hubby for forty years. My hubby and I are married for forty eight years and it is so hard to see people married that long anymore. Thank you for the opportunity of entering me to win your book.

Blessings,
Jo
