Meet Delia Latham, Author of Destiny's Dream

Guest Post by Jennifer Slattery

Delia is a delightful writer who takes her readers from giggles to tears, then back to giggles again in the span of one chapter. The characters she creates are delightfully quirky, dynamic and authentic and her writing is fresh and creative, sprinkled with life-changing truth.

Destiny's Dream is Book One in the Solomon's Gate Series, which is based around a Christian dating agency. In this first installment, Destiny May decides to open a dating agency in her hometown - the medium-sized, very conservative Castle Creek, California. (It's a fictional location, which made it fun to create the town right out of my head.) She has the less-than-enthusiastic support of her socialite sister and Clay Gallagher, the hero. And she encounters some over-enthusiastic opposition form a man on the edge of sanity, who doesn't like what the pretty matchmaker OR Solomon's Gate stand for... It's a fun romance with a fine edge of suspense. I think you'll like it!

Destiny's Dream:
Is a little respect too much to ask at a funeral? Apparently it is for Destiny May. Clay Gallagher is built like a small mountain and far more vocal than is fitting when he shows up late to her mother's "going away party." When it turns out he's not even at the right funeral, Destiny demands retribution in the form of an escape from the day's dreary proceedings. Spending time with a handsome stranger who makes her laugh is more therapeutic than fighting with her overbearing family. Clay finds Destiny beautiful, charming...and intelligent. So why is she stubbornly determined to open a Christian dating service? Clay has little respect for such a frivolous profession, and doesn't think the small, conservative town of Castle Creek will welcome such a progressive business. But when Destiny is threatened by an anonymous caller who deeply resents her and what she does for a living, Clay makes it his business to keep the saucy redhead out of harm's way. Trouble is, spending time in her company weakens his defenses, and Destiny may be the one thing Clay can't escape... if he even wants to.

Destiny is giving away a free, leather Max Lucado, Grace For the Moment, Journal.

Join us tomorrow as we get to know Delia a bit better and stop by her website to find out more about the other books in this great series!

I would be interested in reading this book. If I win the journal I would give it to my daughter who is a young mother of two, so she can record everyday the blessings she has!

Patty, thank you so much for allowing space on your wonderful blog to talk about my book (and me!). lol Jennifer, you always do such a great job with these articles. Me, on the other hand...I noticed in re-reading this that I referred to my hero as "the heroine." Hopefully all of these readers are willing to overlook that! :)
Thanks to everyone who has alredy stopped in and said hello. I love hearing from you!

Thank YOU for being with us, Delia! I just fixed that heroine/hero glitch so Clay is the true hero he is. =]

Jen does an EXCELLENT job. I love her spotlights and interviews!

Thank you to BOTH of you, Delia and Jen! =]
Hugs!

I know what the book is like--I was blessed to read it already. I find myself rushing to grab her books as soon as possible. She is a consecrated daughter of our loving Lord and a blessed writer. I have read almost everything she has written (not yet read her children's book) and haven't read anything I didn't fall in love with. She is the best author I have ever read and I read ALL the time! Thank you for highlighting Delia! And thank you Delia, for allowing God to love us through you. I'll love you forever!
